Tifton Meeting
Bill, Betty and I decided to run over to Tifton to visit our friends Monday, January 21st. It’s always great to visit other chapters and they do have good food at their Golden Corral. We try to go every month to help support chapter “O” because they always try to support us. Also, it’s always great to ride your bike anytime, anywhere, any place.
I left the house about 5:30 because I needed gas. I started to fill up. Not sure what was wrong with the pumps at the Homerun Foods on Philema Road but it must have took me 10 minutes to pump about 4 gallons of gas.
I finally got the bike filled up. Bill and Betty were waiting for me, and as they were sitting there, the gal filling up beside me got through and started to leave. She almost backed into them. You have to always be ready and Bill was. She finally noticed us yelling and waving at her and stopped.
We had a great ride over but it was a little cool. I’m still not sure who to call on these week day rides and will be glad when our next meeting comes around so I can hand out our, I want to ride survey. Then maybe we can get a good group together.
. We stood around a few minutes after the meeting and talked mostly about bikes, which is my favorite subject. If I’m not riding, then I like talking about them. I even enjoy cleaning mine. I know what you’re thinking and yes it’s true, I’m not quite wound up tight.
We put on everything we had on the bike to stay warm and off we went. We arrived home about 9:30. Come join us next time. Their meeting is on the 3rd Monday of every month. Jeff
